Joseph Shrock is a true businessman. He is proud that the Shrock Family of Companies are firmly rooted in Christian faith and Amish tradition. His companies uphold a code of values including respect of others, integrity, customer focus, and having fun throughout the process! His vision for his companies is to be a place where gratitude, loyalty and a positive attitude is expressed and where daily challenges become opportunities. He desires of himself and his team to use our God given talents to be of service to our families, our customers, and our community.
Joseph Shrock began in the building industry as a young teenager with his father, Melvin. He officially acquired the family company in 1984 with a goal of transforming it into a first class, superior custom construction company. Joseph Shrock soon developed a reputation second to none for delivering quality results on time. He transformed their already successful wood framing business into a load bearing metal framing enterprise and founded the Shrock Prefab Company. Shrock Prefab continues as a premier fabricator for panelization work across the country. Projects include hotels, military barracks, dormitories, and even stadiums throughout the country.
Joseph saw a need in north central Ohio for top-notch restoration company. He believed that a restoration company would be a wonderful fit with the already successful Shrock Premier Custom Construction. After researching Rainbow International, Joseph was highly impressed with their world class customer service, the latest in restoration technology and continuing education, certification in all areas of restoration, and a solid reputation. Shrock Restoration – Rainbow International of North Central Ohio was founded in the early 2000’s and is now a leading force in the restoration of homes and businesses after the unfortunate devastation of fire, water or natural disasters.
John Kauffman

John Kauffman
John Kauffman has been the general manager for Shrock Prefab LLC since 2004. He brings a lot to the table in the prefab world. John began his career long before the Shrock Prefab was established with his onsite custom construction experience. Through these experiences, John learned to listen to his clients, the specifics of their needs, and deliver a superb product within the specified guidelines communicated. As General Manager, he takes great pride in fulfilling and exceeding the expectations of Shrock Prefab clients. John, along with his team work together to consistently achieve quality products in a timely manner. The Shrock Prefab believes that high moral standards are directly related to excellence in product and business success. Honesty and integrity are their highest goals, which in turn, foster long and lasting relationships with their customers.
John has been a resident of central Ohio for his entire life. He was married in 1994 and experience’s the joys of marriage and has been blessed with 7 children. Together they thank the Lord daily for all of their many blessings.
Russell Schaeffer

Russell Schaeffer
Russell Schaeffer has worked in the Cold Form Steel (CFS) Wall Panel industry since 2001. Russell places high value on integrity and character, and fits well in the Shrock family of companies. He has held several integral positions within the CFS industry, paying special attention to the prefabrication process during his career. His attitude for an on-time and under budget project experience for his clients is achieved by his expertise in material procurement, project management, and site supervision.
Russell has enjoyed working with some of the industry’s top leaders in design and “R&D”. Working on these teams has exposed him to challenging projects of varying scale, budget, and time sensitivity. Several industry processes and products exist due to this collective work.
Russell is a husband and active father to eight beautiful children. A long time Ohio native, he currently resides in Beaufort, SC. He feels valued at Shrock Prefab & Engineering . Russell is an excited and passionate member of the prefab team and looks forward to working with you.
Christopher Kane
BIM Manager
Christopher Kane
Christopher has been working in the Cold-Formed Steel (CFS) industry since 1995, managing and overseeing the development of construction documentation. He has an extensive CFS design background including Walls, Floors and Trusses. He brings a proven and time tested process of developing CFS design and prefabrication drawings to the Shrock Prefab & Engineering team.
As our Building Information Modeling (BIM) Manager, Christopher’s focus is to provide BIM production support, internal Revit training, model management, development of strategies to streamline the BIM processes, deployment of BIM software applications and creation of shop drawings.
Christopher was raised in Cleveland, OH and now resides in Atlanta, Georgia with his wife. He is ready to bring efficiency and success to your project.
Jay Parr, PE, SE

Jay Parr, PE
Jay is a structural engineer with 24 years of experience, including 13 years of experience in the design of cold-formed steel and its application in multi-story load-bearing structures. Jay enjoys serving multiple roles in the design process including advisor, specialty structural engineer, and structural engineer of record.
Jay seeks to provide the highest level of service to his clients and to protect the safety and welfare of the public that occupy buildings that he has designed. He conducts all business with the highest standards of ethics and professional conduct in accordance with the Engineer’s Creed. Jay’s objective is to utilize his experience and practical knowledge of construction to bring success to each and every project.
Bill Swartz

Bill Swartz
Bill Swartz has been in the Building Material Sales industry since 1993, including 15 years in the Prefab Wood Truss components field. Bill’s experience also includes retail lumberyard and Industrial/Commercial sales.
Bill pays strict attention to the details of his client’s project needs, goals, and timeline. His reputation has earned him the position as a “go to person,” an individual of integrity with the goal of providing superior service.
Bill and his wife have been lifelong residents of Ohio. They have three busy children who keep the Swartz family actively supporting sports, academics, and numerous other activities. Bill earned his Bachelor's degree in Industrial Technology from Kent State University.

Leon Nisley
Production Manager
Leon Nisley
Leon has been dedicated to Shrock Prefab for over 15 years. His work includes Production Management of major commercial projects to insure that each project is produced and delivered in a timely manner. Because Leon also as oversees the entire prefab process and shop, his duties also include working with takeoffs, print work, and work orders. His goal is to continually do whatever it takes to keep things moving smoothly and safely forward to completion and delivery. Leon really enjoys the challenge of designing and creating one of a kind equipment for automated prefab production. He lives with his wife and 5 children in the Loudonville, Ohio area.
Lydia Kauffman

Lydia Kauffman
Lydia is the Office Administrator and details expert at Shrock Prefab. Her attention to those details is what keeps the office running smoothly and efficiently. Lydia is busy on a daily basis answering phone calls, accounts payable, accounts receivable, Customer job set up and service.
When asked what she finds most fulfilling about working at Shrock Prefab other than the fact that she has the opportunity to work alongside her father, Lydia loves going the extra mile, giving of her time to help make a co-worker’s or a customer’s job easier. She has been in her position since 2017.
Outside of work, Lydia’s hobbies include photography, hiking, and spending time with friends and family. Her passion is for the refugee crisis in the Middle East and Europe. She has even spent several months on an island in Greece helping and ministering at a refugee camp where thousands await asylum. Whether in or out of the office, Lydia is willing and dedicated to going out of her way to help others!
Chris Rzepka
Chris Rzepka
Chris Rzepka has worked in the cold-formed steel industry since 2000. He has served many different roles including management of wall panel prefabrication, project coordination, material takeoff and procurement, drafting, and quality control.
Chris was raised in Cleveland, Ohio and currently lives in Brook Park, Ohio with his son.
